Hot Carmel Apple Cider

t's Cider Time! And, do we have the perfect Sip of the Month for you! This hot carmel apple cider will certainly give Starbucks something to think about as we get ready to get settled in for a long winters nap. This little sip of sweet cider will take a little more time than just your average heat up microwave cider, but that's what makes it so lip-licking good. Take your time and I promise you it will not disappoint.

Hot Carmel Apple Cider

1 1/2 cups apple cider

1 cinnamon stick

1/4 of an orange

1 1/2 tablespoons caramel sauce or 1 1/2 tablespoons of caramel dip or 6 unwrapped carmels

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 dash of ground cloves

1 dash of cinnamon (garnish)

DIRECTIONS Combine apple cider, cinnamon stick, caramel into a sauce pan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until carmel is completely melted into the apple cider and the apple cider is hot. Add your vanilla and your dash of ground cloves. Squeeze in your orange. Pour into a mug. Add one dash of cinnamon. Garnish with slice of orange. Enjoy.
